Before you start

The connector is off until a firm admin turns it on, and then each person connects for themselves. If Use Tenuit in Claude does not appear under Integrations for your firm, write to support@tenuit.co and we will tell you where your firm stands.

What it does

Reads, with sources

Finds households, reads a household’s members and facts, searches facts across your book, and builds the grounded brief for the next meeting. Every fact carries its source, whether it is confirmed, and a link back to it in Tenuit.

Drafts, into review

Writes an email draft or starts a document draft (a PDF or a deck) for a household, and notes a fact for you to confirm. Each lands in Tenuit attributed to you, “via Claude”, and a draft goes to your firm’s review queue with the disclosure attached.

Never from Claude

Sending anything to a client, approving a draft, and confirming a fact. A draft reaches a household only after a named reviewer approves it in Tenuit, and a confirmed fact is your own assurance, given in Tenuit.

The eight tools, in plain words

Find households — by name, in your own book by default or across the firm. Names and links only.
Read a household — members and their contact details, account balances, open life events, and facts grouped by category, each with its source.
Search facts — in one household, or across the households you can read. At most 25 results.
Get the meeting brief — the next meeting, what changed since the last one, confirmed facts, open follow-ups, and how many facts still await confirmation.
Check a draft — its status, who drafted it and how, the review decision, and, once approved, a link to download it in Tenuit.
Draft a client email — to one household member, resting on the facts you cite. It goes to review; it is never sent.
Start a document draft — a PDF or a deck from a short brief. Claude checks back until it is ready for review. The file exists only after approval.
Note a fact — filed unconfirmed, marked “advisor via Claude”, for you to confirm or dismiss in Tenuit.

Claude asks before it uses a drafting tool, unless you have told it to always allow that tool.

Three things to ask

“Prep me for Thursday’s review with James and Sofia.”

Claude finds the household, reads the meeting brief, and writes the prep with each point citing the fact it rests on and linking to it in Tenuit. It says which facts are unconfirmed.

“Draft a follow-up to Sofia about the protection call we discussed.”

Claude asks before it writes, then files an email draft to Sofia in your firm’s review queue, by you, via Claude, with the disclosure attached. Nothing is sent.

“Note that Marcus asked about opening a 529.”

Claude files the fact unconfirmed on the household. It appears in Tenuit among the facts awaiting confirmation, and only you can confirm it.

Set it up

For the firm admin

In Tenuit, open Integrations. Under Use Tenuit in Claude, turn on Allow the Claude connector. The change is written to your firm’s Record. New firms are offered the same switch in onboarding.
If your firm uses a Claude Team or Enterprise plan, an Owner adds the connector once for the organization, in Claude under Organization settings → Connectors, with the address https://api.tenuit.co/connector. Members then connect it for themselves.

Turning the switch on is your firm’s decision to let its people read Tenuit data into its own Claude workspace, under your firm’s agreement with Anthropic. Turning it off disconnects everyone in the firm at once.

For the advisor, in claude.ai or Claude Desktop

In Claude, open Customize → Connectors. If your organization has already added Tenuit, choose Connect beside it. Otherwise choose +, then Add custom connector, and paste https://api.tenuit.co/connector.
Claude opens Tenuit’s sign-in. Sign in as you normally do, with your password or your firm’s single sign-on.
Tenuit shows what Claude is asking for, the person and firm you are signed in as, and who is asking. Choose Allow, and you return to Claude, connected.

For the advisor, in Claude Code

Add the connector from a terminal:

In Claude Code, run /mcp, pick tenuit and authenticate. A browser opens on the same Tenuit sign-in and consent page. Because Claude Code runs on your computer, the page asks you to allow it only if you started the connection yourself.

A connection lasts up to 90 days, after which Claude asks you to sign in again.

What Claude can see and do

Claude reads what you could read in Tenuit yourself, and no more. Lists and searches start from your own book; a firm-wide view is there when you ask for it, as it is in the app.

Shared on purpose

Household and member names, members’ email addresses, phone numbers and postal addresses, account balances, open life events, and facts with their sources and confirmation state. Contact details are included deliberately: you already hold them, and “what’s her cell?” is a fair thing to ask.

Withheld

Before anything leaves Tenuit through the connector, a pattern check replaces Social Security numbers, card numbers and ID-like numbers (account, passport and licence numbers) in free text with [withheld]. It is a pattern check, so treat it as a safety net rather than a promise that no such number can ever pass. Individual holdings are not included.

Text from outside the firm

Words a client or a machine wrote, such as a transcript quote or a forwarded email, reach Claude marked as data, not as instructions, so a sentence in a client’s email cannot tell Claude what to do.

Disconnect

Yourself. In Tenuit, open You, find Connected apps, and choose Revoke. Claude’s next request is refused. You can also remove the connector in Claude, under Customize → Connectors.
Someone in your firm, as an admin. In Integrations, Connected apps in your firm lists every connection with the person’s name, when it was made and last used. Revoke any of them.
Everyone. Turn off Allow the Claude connector. Every connection in the firm is revoked, and turning it back on does not revive them; each person connects again.
When someone leaves or changes role. Deactivating a person, or changing their role, revokes their connections.

Revoking stops new reads and drafts. What Claude already read stays in your Claude conversations, under your firm’s Claude settings.

Where the data goes

What Claude reads through the connector goes into your firm’s own Claude workspace, under your firm’s agreement with Anthropic. That copy is governed by your firm’s Claude plan and settings, not by Tenuit; turning the connector on is your firm’s choice to allow it.

What Tenuit keeps:

each connection: who made it, when, when it was last used, and whether it can draft;
every household Claude reads, on the firm’s access ledger, under the person who asked;
every draft and noted fact, on the Record, attributed to the person, via Claude;
the drafts themselves, in your review queue, where approved versions are archived write-once.

Sign-in tokens are stored only as one-way digests, and a revoked connection is refused on its next request. Tenuit’s logs record which tool was used and how many results it returned, not names, questions or draft text.

The privacy policy covers this flow, and the subprocessor register lists every processor Tenuit itself sends client data to.

Support

Write to support@tenuit.co. A person reads it and writes back within a day. Say which screen or step you were on and what Claude said. Please leave client details out of the email; a link to the household in Tenuit is enough.
